Lay out your beads and elastic on a flat surface.
Inspect the beads to make sure they have no chips or faults and elastic is not broken.
Measure round your wrist and lay out your beads to this length.
Have fun with bead placement and think where you want to top of the bracelet.
Tie a knot on one end of the elastic and start to string your beads.
Make sure you finish with a bead with a larger hole.
Test the length round your wrist.
You can add or remove beads as needed.
Start by tying an overhand knot, pull tight so the beads are nearly touching and the elastic is not stretched.
Tie a surgeons knot by doing an overhand knot with an extra loop.
Gently pull the ends to tighten the knot. The knot will become smaller and will lock in itself.
Now pull the ends in different directions to ensure a tight knot.
Repeat the knot as before.
Making sure you pull it tight, but not too tight that the elastic snaps
Holding onto both ends, move the knot inside the bead.
You may have to do this slowly.
if the knot slips, it is not tight enough. So go back to tighten the knots.
Once the knot is safely inside a bead, snip off the ends.
